4-star vineyard resort near Lake Iseo

Location

Podere Castel Merlo Resort is located within walking distance of Lake Iseo. The resort is surrounded by 18 hectares of vineyards positioned between Valcalepio and Franciacorta. It is accessible from Milan in about 50 minutes and 30 minutes from Orio al Serio Airport.

Suites

The hotel offers seven double suites furnished with prestigious materials such as travertine marble and natural stone. Each suite features 'Hastens' beds favored by the Swedish Royal House and high-end 'Dornbracht' bathrooms. Guests can expect complimentary 'Acqua di Parma' toiletries in every suite.

Wine Cellar

Podere Castel Merlo maintains an eighteenth-century cellar specializing in the production of classic method wines and sparkling wines. The winery utilizes only its own grapes without outside sourcing, ensuring quality and authenticity. Guided tours and tastings highlight the region's wine philosophy and craftsmanship.

Wellness and Activities

The wellness area includes professional massage services and aesthetic treatments with Bakel cosmetics. Guests can also participate in vineyard walks and harvest activities, experiencing the full life cycle of winemaking. Seasonal outdoor swimming is available, alongside a fitness area with Technogym equipment.

Dining Experiences

Podere Castel Merlo includes on-site dining options, allowing guests to savor local cuisine in a stunning vineyard setting. A bar service by the pool offers healthy dishes made from high-quality products. Cooking courses are available to teach guests traditional regional recipes.

Highlights

Location: Walking distance from Lake Iseo

Suites: Seven double suites with premium materials

Wine Cellar: Eighteenth-century cellar with quality wines

Wellness: Professional massage services and vineyard walks

“Staying here, expect locally-sourced wines accompanying outstanding regional dishes; the sommelier's suggestion of local fish with Franciacorta rosé proves a highlight. Add to that the peaceful setting near Lake Iseo and the Franciacorta wine region itself. In my opinion, it's a particularly fine choice for couples.”
